Dick's work colleagues here in Tokyo treated us to one of the most amazing lunches I've ever had. We went out for a Tempura Lunch in Ginza. I've had various Tempura before in the US, but never at at Tempura exclusive restaurant. What a treat!
They dipped and deep fried each of the pieces of fish or vegetables individually, and served them to us one at a time. This meant that every few minutes, we were served a piping hot and fresh piece of delicious tempura - one after the other. So amazing, and so much better than any tempura I've ever had before! We must have had at least a dozen different individual items.
We also were served a bowl of danbori, and a bowl of miso soup with clams after we ate all of the tempura.
