Something's Not Right Here

It's bedtime. I had the lights dimmed in the bedroom and asked Wallace to go home to his crate. Ever the good dog, he went right in, but I noticed he didn't go all the way to the back of his crate like he usually does. When I turned up the lights, I discovered why: there was a kitten in the back of his crate. 😺

Tonight's Dinner

Tripod Sock Monkey

Wallace decided that he didn't have to be the only tripod in the house and decided gave his Sock Monkey an amputation. (I helped sew him up after Wallace did the initial job.)

50,000 Steps!!

I may or may not have just walked an extra 600ish steps around my house to reach 50,000 steps before bed.

My husband cracks me up. We are getting ready for bed, and I turn around and see this. I was taking a sip of water and almost spit it out, I was laughing do hard.

Road trip Water

For anyone wondering about our road trip water supply:

Remember when Dick thought I was crazy for buying five 1.5 liters of water for the trip?

Here's what's left: less than 1/2 of the bottle, and two nearly empty water bottles.

Road Trip Food!

Just bought our road trip food and water for the weekend.

I'm feeling very healthy about our selection.

Dick doesn't seem to believe that we'll go through all this water (five 1.5 liters). He must not know me very well. ;)

Walter is Ready

Walter the Bear hid out in the bathroom today so he wouldn't get accidentally packed. He's quite insistent about driving back to SF with us.

He found Dick's hat amongst our "drive to SF" stuff, and decided to get a bit jaunty.

End of an Era

I guess it really is time to leave Seattle. I went to Old Navy today specifically to say goodbye to Old Navy Trina and to let her know that I'm moving away...

Oliver Wendell Duck

Dick and I are watching an episode of "Jeopardy". One of the answers was "Oliver Wendell Holmes". I laughed and told Dick about my sister's stuffed duck that our Mom had named "Oliver Wendell Duck". He thought it was really funny.

My Mom is so clever about naming pets and stuffies.

I sent her a message with the same story as above, and she sent me a photo of Oliver Wendell Duck. He's alive and well and still hanging out in my sister's bedroom at their house.

Missed out...

Dang, I didn't see this post yesterday and missed out. It's in SF, so I wouldn't have been able to get it for a while anyway. I think I just like the idea of it.

Totoro went to another good home yesterday. :)
