Not a creature was stirring...

Max Antlers

Last year, Dick and I went to Universal Studios, where we met Max, the dog from The Grinch movie. I went around the park that day, checking the stores to see if they sold Max Antlers for dogs (they didn't).

Imagine my delight when Barkbox started selling Max Antlers this year!! Wallace is reluctantly modeling them, but I think he knows how happy it makes me.

Gina and Stonewall

Annual Seattle Gingerbread House Display

I think this is the fourth year in a row that Gina and I have gone to the Annual Gingerbread House display in Downtown Seattle. This year's theme was "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". I thought it was one if the best ones that we've seen.

Dickens Faire

Dick and I brought my family to The Dickens Faire this morning. It was the first time for all of them. We had a lot of fun together. I think Graham may be hooked!

Christmastime is Here...

Santa Paws

Wallace had a great visit with Santa today! He was so happy to see the Big Guy, and couldn't stop smiling once he found out that he made the Nice List again.

I couldn't decide which outfit to have his picture taken in, so I brought options. Santa was happy to give us a moment for a quick costume change. 🐶❤️🎅🏼🐾

Day 3: Fitbit vs Apple Watch Fitness App

This will probably be my last day of tracking the difference (publicly, at least) between my Fitbit and my new Apple Watch Series 3 Fitness App.

For the second day in a row, the numbers were comparable (except for floors climbed) between the two devices, with the Apple Watch having slightly higher numbers.

I don't know, but the numbers from Monday(two days ago) were off by so much; I'm still wondering if there's something to be said about my shopping cart theory (though it sounds like that shouldn't be a factor).

Fitbit:
Steps: 19,604
Miles: 8.05
Floors: 86
Calories: 2,207
Active minutes: 131

Apple Watch Fitness tracker:
Steps: 20,126
Miles: 9.25
Floors: 47
Calories: 2,444
Active minutes: 123

This morning, I didn't take the morning walk that I did over the last two days, due to rain. I had lunch in the Embarcadero today and decided to walk from there through Union Square. After walking around Union Square for a bit, I decided to walk home. It was forecast to rain today and all day tomorrow, but there was no rain earlier today, so I wanted to be outside while I could.

Lots of rain in the forecast for tomorrow, so I'm assuming I won't get nearly as many steps in.

Like I said, this will probably be my last comparison of the two devices. Turns out they are close enough to each other, and that's all I really wanted to know.

Today’s Fitbit vs Apple Watch

Interesting: today, My Apple Watch's Fitness tracker was more generous than my Fitbit.

Fitbit:
Steps: 16,011
Miles: 7.29
Floors: 85
Calories: 2,157
Active minutes: 60

Apple Watch Fitness Tracker:
Steps: 16,879
Miles: 7.90
Floors: 56
Calories: 2,343
Active minutes: 88

Again, I know this doesn't really matter, but it is kind of interesting to compare and see how close (or not!) they are.
