Sam's in Tiburon

Wallace and I drove to Sam's in Tiburon today to meet Dick and his sailing friends for lunch. Dick sent me a message about an hour before from the boat telling me that they were planning to sail to Sam's and dock for lunch and invited me to join them. Sam's has a couple of docks off their restaurant and a beautiful outdoor patio that is dog friendly, so I decided to bring Wallace with me.

We had a great time! We arrived slightly after Dick arrived on the boat, so we didn't get to see them dock, but we were able to walk them back to the boat after lunch to see the boat and watch them take off.

Oh, and Wallace met a little baby girl whose parents asked him to take a photo with. As far as I know, this was the first time Wallace has met a baby. He was really good with her.

I realized as I was driving that I've never driven to Tiburon before. I've only ever walked there from San Francisco. 😉 It was a beautiful day and was nice to drive there on a less busy day without traffic.

Eleven years ago, I said "I Do" to the man who brings joy and love to my heart. Last night, just after midnight, he surprised me with the most beautiful card/love letter - it made me cry. Our life together has been a wonderful adventure, and I'm so happy to be spending our happily ever after with you, Dick Craddock. I love you with all my heart. Happy Anniversary!! ❤️

Today's Birthday celebration consisted of:

Golf- possibly the best game Dick has ever had!

Fort Funston- a gorgeous day to take our dog back to the beach

Dinner- a fabulous meal at L'Ardoise, one of our favorite restaurants in San Francisco.

He went to the shooting range today and shot a Sig Sauer 226 9mm. He was 45 feet from the target. Four shots within the quarter-sized center.

Dick is away for a few nights. Usually, Noe will sleep on or right next to one of our legs. Last night, she slept on Dick's side if the bed, right beneath his pillow, all night long.

Dick flew back to Seattle from Las Vegas today. I'm still in the Bay Area, so we Skyped for a bit once he got home.

My hubby stopped off at a store on his way home from work today and picked up this beautiful orchid for me!! What a nice early Birthday surprise!! :)

Dick meets Old Navy Mannequin Trina

At first he seemed a little confused, but I think they're going to get along just fine!

I'd better watch out. Now that she's met my husband, she may want my life!!

Simple Pleasures...

My husband is the best! Today, he picked up a cupcake for me on his way home from work. :)

Last night, we had walked to get a cupcake after dinner, but found that store closed at 8:00. We had arrived at 8:03, but the door was locked, and they were already cleaning up inside.

Anyhow, Dick brought me a cupcake today, since I missed out last night. What a sweet treat!!!

We had a wonderful early birthday celebration last night at The House of Prime Rib with David, Miguel and Spencer. Tonight, we spent an evening together with a low-key dinner. We'll be going out again tomorrow night to celebrate with Pete & Richard.










Dick and I don't really exchange gifts anymore, but here was the surprise waiting for him this morning :)

Dick and I went to the SF MOMA Saturday morning for a couple of hours. We haven't been in at least a couple of years, and we wanted to see it again before it closes in a couple of weeks for expansion. It's not scheduled to reopen again until 2016.

While we were there, I was pursuing through some part of the permanent exhibit, and Dick was waiting for me at the end. There was a little counter/desk set up there where guests could draw, having been inspired by what they had just seen.

I came out to find Dick with pencil and paper in hand ready to sketch.

awww...Today, Dick gave me my first Valentine in 14 years. (but who's counting?) :)
