First training walk of the season!
Today was my first training walk of the season with my team, the Warming Hut Hotties! We met at 7:30am for a 8.5 mile walk. It was wonderful to walk with my group again - such fun to catch up with great friends while walking together for a few hours.
Today's route, although not terribly long on miles, was full of UPS and DOWNS. We walked up and down a lot of stairs. Good morning, gluts!
Today's route also proved to be a bit of an unexpected nature walk! Along the way, we saw a few heron, a hawk, and even were treated to a couple of swans and their babies by the Palace of Fine Arts!
It was a foggy day. When we first met at 7:30, the Golden Gate Bridge was hiding in the fog. By the time we walked back to the Warming Hut, the bridge was just starting to peek out.
It felt great to get out and about again with all my friends. I'm looking forward to another great walk next weekend!
The Golden Gate Bridge is hiding behind all of that fog!
UP and DOWN the many, many stairs
if you look carefully, you can see the heron
a hawk in the tree
the always beautiful Palace of Fine Arts!
Swans with their babies!
The sun and the Golden Gate Bridge were starting to peek back out by 11:00am
