"You may recall that I attended a Luncheon Fundraiser last year for "Friend to Friend", one of the beneficiaries of The Immediate Impact Walk. My friend, Linda, Board Chair of In our Lifetime was asked to speak during the luncheon to talk about our walk, all the work that went into it, and the money raised. After she spoke the live auction was held, which featured a 7-night stay at a luxury beachfront condo on the Big Island of Hawaii. Well, after a very exciting live auction, the person who placed the highest bid offered to gift the condo to Linda for all of her hard work on our walk! It was really an incredible example of generosity to witness!
In another show of generosity, Linda invited those of us who were with her at the luncheon (all who had been involved with the Immediate Impact Walk) to join her in Hawaii! Thank you, Linda!"
Linda has just finished working with a video editor, and posted the video of the speech that she gave at the Friend to Friend luncheon. Linda's speech was incredibly inspiring, and really captures the spirit of our walk and our team, and it touched the heart of every person in the room.

Many people have asked and here it is! This is the video of Linda's speech from last October's Fall Fashion Frenzy event benefiting Friend to Friend.
After the speeches there was a live auction for a 7 night stay at a luxury villa in Kona, HI. The trip was won for a bid of $5,500! In the most incredible act of random generosity, the two women who won the auction donated the trip to Linda after her speech!
The nine people at the luncheon representing the Immediate Impact Walk took the trip to Kona last week. It was such an honor to be asked to speak and share the story of our walk and to be the recipient of such generosity. A remarkable afternoon and a remarkable once in a lifetime trip!
