After having our little lime tree for over four years, I present to you... our first lime!
Well, that's not exactly true. When I bought the lime tree four years ago, it had a few ripening limes on it already. I just assumed that it would continue. It turns out that limes generally don't grow well in SF, so after the initial fruit that the tree came with, we never had mature limes again until now. We had plenty of blossoms, which turned into itty-bitty limes, but they all eventually fell off before they could grow.
Right now, we have three limes (including this one) maturing quite well on the tree. This one got bumped today, and fell off on it's own. It's not quite ripe enough to use yet, so we'll keep it in the fruit bowl until it's ready. :)
