Sunday's 1/2 Walk with Paula!
Today's Route
Paula had such a nice time joining us for yesterday's training walk, that she decided to join us again today! Yay, Paula!
We met in the Presidio at 7:00am this morning, and walked with our team for about 3-1/2 miles before separating from them. Tina was able to walk back with us today, so she led us through the Presidio back to our cars. It was about 6 miles in total.
It was a chilly and wet morning for a walk! I think it was in the low to mid 50s the whole time with a little bit of drizzle in the air.
We started off by walking to the entrance of the ILM offices in the Presidio to sneak in a photo with Yoda!
We walked to Lyon street, and introduced Paula to one of the great stair climbs in the city! :) (She did great!)
We walked through the Presidio, walking through parts of the restored areas and new art sculptures. Very cool.
Along the way, Michele, for the second Sunday in a row, rescued a poor little (BIG) banana slug from the center of the walking path. Poor guy would've been a goner if she had left him there.
It was so fun to have Paula join us on both walks this weekend! I'm glad we were able to get some miles in with the team, while still getting us home early enough to hang out and relax at home with the boys.
