As you know, I donate platelets regularly (every month or two). Today was my last donation for a while. I've be away on vacation next week in a country with known malaria issues, so I won't be allowed to donate blood or platelets for an entire year after my return.
Such a bummer, but I totally understand. I said farewell to many of the people who work at the Blood Center, and told them I'd see them in a year. They were all do sweet (I go so often that we are on first name basis!) and wished me a safe and fun trip. :)
