We thought it would be a good idea for him to go to Blane's home and spend some time with him before we leave. I'm really glad we did! Wallace was a little shy with Blane at first (he did meet him a couple of weeks ago) but warmed up pretty quickly. Dick and I left for about 20 minutes while Blane stayed with Wallace. Blane said Wallace was a little worried at first, but relaxed fairly quickly, and by the time we returned, he was almost ready to take a nap with Blane. :)
The three of us took Wallace out for a walk around Blane's neighborhood, with Blane leading the way. It went very well! Blane is amazing with dogs (and all animals, really) and Wallace really took to him. Dick and I tried to hang back a bit so Wallace could get comfortable with Blane. We had a great walk around the neighborhood, which included some stairs that Wallace handled really well!
We'll be going back to Blane's for another visit this weekend before we leave next week.
Big thanks again to Blane for taking care of Wallace while we're away! I think he's going to really enjoy staying with you!
