Saturday's 12-mile Training Walk

Saturday's Route

Super fun 12-mile training walk! Our sister team, The Golden Gate Pink Warriors, joined us for our first community training walk of the season. The Golden Gate Pink Warriors are fellow Warming Hut Hottie alumni (the team retired last year after 10-years) who walk for the Komen 3-Day walks. It was so fun seeing and walking with these friends again.

Linda mapped out and led us on a GREAT training walk this morning. Lots and lots of hills today. Mary claimed that her butt may be broken at the end of the walk. ;)

We walked through the Presidio, onto Arguello Blvd, and into Golden Gate Park.

We walked from JFK Drive to Stanyan and walked ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP!

From there, we turned left on Belgrave to Shrader, and walked to the top of Tank Hill!

We walked to Twin Peaks Blvd, to Clayton, to Market, which becomes Portola.

We walked down Clipper for a good long while, to Noe Street (Noe!) to 24th. We had our lunch break at Whole Foods.

Lunch time!

We went from 24th Street to Sanchez and continued to climb up, Up, UP!

Cutie guys participating in Boot Camp on Sanchez in the Castro. "Hi, Cute Boys!" (I really did say that when I snapped this photo)

We walked from Sanchez down to 16th street.

As we headed up towards the Randall Museum, we passed by one of my favorite Storybook homes in San Francisco.

We walked up to Corona Heights Park to the Randall Museum, then went down to Masonic.

Saw these fun planter-pants somewhere on Masonic

We took Masonic all the way back to Presidio, and back into the Presidio.
