Our day in Brighton with Rob and James

Dick and I took the train from London's Victoria Station to Brighton this morning. It was just under an hour.

We spent the day with Rob and James and had a perfectly lovely day. The weather was glorious, in the mid-60s, and was just beautiful.

It was both of our first time to Brighton. We walked along the waterfront, down to Brighton Pier, through the old town area, and into a neighborhood near where Rob and James live. We had lunch at a local tea/coffee/sandwich shop, where I had a fresh homemade scone with cream. Mmmmm!!

After lunch, we walked to the Royal Pavilion which we toured. It was incredible!! No photos allowed, so none to share. Sorry!! Dad, you should look it up. You would love it.

We walked back into the old part of town and hung out at a local pub for a while. The guys had cider, and we relaxed with great conversation for a while.

We had an early dinner at a great Indian restaurant before walking back to the train station to catch our 8:30pm train back to London.

What a great day!!

Rob and I are on a good roll: we just saw each other four weeks ago in Dayton, OH! It was really wonderful spending the day with Rob and James in Brighton.
