Steely Dan Concert at Marymoor Park

One of Dick's all-time favorite bands is Steely Dan. He saw them once in concert in the early 90s and we saw them together in San Francisco 2 or 3 FIVE years ago at the Masonic.

Dick bought tickets for tonight's concert a few months ago. It was at the Marymoor Park, nearby in Redmond (about 10-15 min drive from our home in Bellevue). He splurged and got us great seats (6th row, center) and VIP access tickets which got us great parking, and access to a nice VIP lounge area.

The concert was fantastic! We don't know why exactly, but it was so much better than the last time that we had seen them in SF. Perhaps it was the venue, but the music sounded great, and the band had so much energy that just carried through the crowd.

We loved the venue. Much smaller than any outdoor venue I've been to (Shoreline in Mt. View or the Pavilion in Concord). Our seats were fantastic, they had food truck options, and it was really easy in and out of parking. We were home 20 minutes after leaving our seats. That's something that would never happen in the Bay Area.

We enjoyed it so much, that I when we got home, I just bought tickets for us to see Counting Crows with Toad the Wet Sprocket next month! We're loving this nice, smaller venue!
