Lunch with Alan

I had a really fun lunch with my friend, Alan, today. Alan is a color guard friend who has lived in Seattle for the last 15 years. Sadly, the only time I've seen him this year since I've moved was when we were both in Dayton, OH for WGI in early April!

We met at the Din Tai Fung location in Seattle's University Village. We met early (11:15) thinking it would be just as busy and hard to get in as the Downtown Bellevue location. To our surprise, it was much quieter, and even when we left at 12:30, there were still some tables available. I spoke with the staff, and it seems they are very busy on weekends, but week days aren't nearly as busy as the Bellevue location. Good to know, as it is only a 15 minute drive from our place (and just as yummy!).

We smelled the scent of waffles on our way out, and decided that we must stop for ice cream at Molly Moon's (a local, Seattle establishment). Not that we were still hungry, mind you, we were both pretty full. There's always room for ice cream!

Thanks for a fun afternoon, Alan! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
