We took Wallace to Carmel Beach - an amazing off-leash beach that got great reviews online.
I assume Wallace had never been to a beach before, and he LOVED it!!!
We kept him on his leash for the first half of the time, as we were all a litle too paranoid that he would run away or get washed away into the ocean (first time dog parent paranoia). Eventually, we were in a quieter area and decided to let him run free like all of the other dogs. He didn't seem the mind the leash at all, but once he was free of it, he had an even more great time running and playing with other dogs.
We're staying at a great little dog-friendly hotel in Monterey for the night, and heading out to dinner now.
