Today's 12-mile training walk
Today's 12-mile route
This morning was a surprisingly beautiful day for a 12-mile training walk! It had been very foggy in San Francisco for the last week or more, so it was extra special to see blue, clear skies today.
Linda took us on a particularly hilly walk today (this is what happens when Judy requests some hills/stairs the day before). I call it: the walk of HILLS!!!
Some of the hills we conquered today:
Historic Trail
Fairy Gates Trail
Tank Hill
Kite Hill
Noe Street
Corona Heights
My Fitbit says we walked over 180 flights of stairs this morning (the default goal for stairs on Fitbit is 10).
It was a really fun walk with many of my favorite friends.
When I saw the map this morning, I noticed that we'd be having our "lunch break" at the Whole Foods within a mile of our house. I let Dick know that we would be there around 10:00 and he and Wallace met us there for a quick visit. Fun!!
After we finished, we made our way over to Off the Grid in the Presidio (where we usually have snacks together after our Sunday walks). David and Miguel had told me a couple of nights ago that they were meeting Chris and Vicki (and their girls) at Off the Grid today around 11:00 so we planned to meet up. It was really great to see them all.
For whatever reason, I didn't take hardly any photos today (just the first selfie of the group, and the panoramic photo from the top of Tank Hill). The other photos are curtesy of Monica, Sandy and David/Miguel.
