Time for a very special Throwback Thursday:
Two years ago, today, we met Wallace for the very first time!! It had only been 10 days since his amputation and he was still very sad, shy and skinny.
Dick and I had been thinking about getting a dog for about five years. Neither of us had ever had one before, so we were uncertain and nervous about all the work and responsibilities. I had seen Wallace's photo and description on the SF SPCA's website the day before and just knew she had to meet him. Dick and I would come back (twice!) three days later and put a hold on him. (We needed time to research and buy all the doggie gear, plus we had an all-day family commitment that weekend). We adopted him 6 days later. Looking back, it's hard to believe we waited so long to bring him home! Now, it's hard for any of us to imagine life without each other. ❤️❤️
