More photos from Dickens Faire
Had a ton of fun (as usual) at the Dickens Faire yesterday.
We arrived when they opened at 10:00am. Good crowds, but not as crowded as other times we've been.

Gay Boyfriend in Seattle: Day Three. Happy Birthday!!
Last day of Spencer's visit, celebrating his birthday!!
We took the bus to Pioneer Square and took the Historic Underground Tour. Super fun, and a really neat way to learn the wacky history of Seattle.
After the tour, we walked around Pioneer Square, discovering the gorgeous (and very quiet) Train Station!!

Seattle's train station
Yummy lunch at Rain Shadow Meats.

Spencer really lucked out on the weather the entire time he was in Seattle. Clear, blue skies, no rain, and gorgeous sunsets!

We made dinner at home, and celebrated with cupcakes for the birthday boy!

Next up: more oysters (and clam chowder and calamari) at Taylor Shellfish Store.

Ended the day with an early birthday celebration for Spencer at Paula and Reeve's home. So wonderful!!

Available: One Gay Boyfriend
He cooks, cleans, has a steady job and is a good friend and confidant. Plus, he's cute to boot!
(I made him take this photo. We were out on a walk and he needed to buy flowers for an event he's putting together this week. This is the window display for the bakery next door. I couldn't resist!)

Bro mowing the lawn
I showed Spencer how to use our lawn mower this morning (not how to mow, per se, but some of the attachments are persnickety). This time of the year, the lawn is super happy, and grows quickly. It needs to be mowed every week or two.
I'll mow it every chance I get, but that's not more than every few weeks.
My parents come about once a month, so this way, Spencer can help keep it maintained without too much work.
Looks great, Bro! Thank you!!

My Gay Boyfriend at Hand Job
I treated my Christopher to a Mani/Pedi today at Hand Job as a belated Birthday treat. It was nice to have some good quantity time together. We capped it off with a cookie from Hot Cookie.
Thanks for the nice afternoon, Bro! :)

"Filling in for the role of Trina's Husband..."
Jason!!
Dick left early this morning for a fun-filled weekend in Vegas with Martin.
Lucky for me, the always-effervescent Jason is in town for a visit this weekend! He'll be staying with me all weekend!
I drove Dick to the airport early this morning, came home, then picked up Jason.
First stop: Bakery Tartine for a couple of morning buns, and a chocolate croissant to share.
As good timing would have it, Jason's flight leaves Sunday afternoon, just as I will be at the airport to pick Dick back up. :)

Size Matters
Christopher is over for dinner tonight. He's been routinely working
out for more than a year now, and the hard work is paying off!

Just like old times...
Yesterday, Christopher came over to spend the evening with us. It was so so nice to finally spend some time with him. Since he moved out, we don't see him very often anymore. I haven't seen him since his birthday in February, and Dick hadn't seen him since Christmas! It's very sad, really, since we used to see him every day, and really, he only lives a few miles away.
I miss hanging with my Gay Boyfriend.
Anyway, yesterday evening was just like old time: Bro made dinner for us - meat loaf with brown/wine gravy, mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was delicious. The three of us even managed to polish off an entire bottle of red wine....before we even sat down to eat. :)
After dinner, we played a little Gears of War on the Xbox with Pete and Reeves. That was loads of fun. It's been ages since we all played anything on Xbox Live with each other.
We're hoping that we'll be able to make more of a habit of having Christopher over again. I told him that he doesn't even have tocool(typo!) cook every time! :)
Thanks for coming over, Bro. That was fun!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Christopher!
Happy Birthday to our favorite Gay Boyfriend!
It's Christopher's Birthday today! And it's a milestone one, at that!
I'd really like to post my most favorite photo of my bro here, but I think I might get in trouble if I don't ask him for permission first :)
Hint: Halloween 2001
This one will have to do for now :)

Happy Birthday, Bro!
PS: I just realized that I just used 3 nicknames for him in one single post!
PSS: Why "Uncle Christopher"? That's how we refer to him in our house. In our mind, that's what Noe and Marcel would call him. :)

The End of an Era : Bro flies the coop!
The time has come:
After 15 months of happy co-habitation in "His 'n Her Condos", Bro has decided that it's time for him to stretch his wings, and move out into his own nest.
That's right: Christopher is leaving the building.
Crazy, man.
As he likes to point out, He's lived here with Dick and me during our entire married life together. Ha!
But do not fret: he's not moving too far away. Remember, before living with us, he was in Australia, and in Marin before that :)
Bro is moving to a lovely pad downtown. A short Muni ride away.
The movers are scheduled to come at 8:00 this morning to pick up all of his stuff. (Which included several boxes that he's had in our basement for the past 5+ years!)
I woke up yesterday morning, realizing that he was moving out today. It's pretty surreal.
The funny thing is, originally, when he came home from Australia, he was only planning on staying with us for 1 week! After the first week, Dick and I realized that we actually really enjoyed having him here, and offered that he could stay here indefinitely. And, even then, who knew we'd have so much fun?
I'll be the first to admit that it's going to be a bit wierd not to have him here on a daily basis. Never fear, though. We've already planned to have him come back to visit often!
Bye, Bro!
So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish!

The One with the Big Boobs
On today's episode of "Gay Boyfriend"....
(fade in)
Christopher and I were down in the kitchen about 15 minutes ago, having a little chat. All of a sudden he asked me, "Are your boobs really big right now?"
What?!
He said, "Your boobs look really big in that shirt!"
Really?
I said that I was just wearing a normal bra that I wear often - it isn't a padded bra, or a push-up bra.
Then he asked me, "Are you wearing an IPex?"
OMG. Now we're a Victoria's Secret commercial!
That's when I realized, "Yeah, wait! I think this is an Ipex! Check the label!"
So I lifted my shirt up in the back, and he checked the label, and it was indeed, an IPex bra from Victoria Secret.
We were practically rolling on the floors howling at each other.
I also remembered that (I think) this is the same shirt that I wore to Pete and Richard's house for dinner a couple of years ago. That was the night that Pete told me that my boobs looked huge.
It must be the shirt. (just a basic turtleneck sweater, I swear!)
I should've bought one in every color. :)

Quote of the Day
I just got off the phone with my friend, Tammy, who lives outside of Chicago.
She just got back from visiting a mutual old friend of our's (Bill), who I haven't seen in several years. (He currently lives in Virginia)
Tammy was updating him on my life, and told him about my husband and our gay boyfriend.
Bill told her, "Tell her that she isn't allowed to have two, until the rest of us have at least one!"
:)
What can I say? I'm a spoiled, and lucky girl! ;)

Just me and my Gay Boyfriend
Everyone should have one!
I dropped Dick off at the airport this morning. He's on his way to Shanghai for the week on business.
It sounds like he should have a great time. He's traveling with Omar, and meeting up with a whole bunch of people from his group.
I felt a little silly this morning, but I was actually kind of sad and sappy when I dropped him off. I realize that a week isn't a long time at all, but I honestly can't remember the last time he went away for a week without me. (I'm a lucky and spoiled girl)
Noe was unusually clingy with Dick all weekend - I think she knew he was going somewhere. She definately knew something was up when she saw the suitcase come out. When I came back from the airport this morning, Christopher said that Noe had been grumpy all morning since we left.
I'm so happy that my Bro is here with me. It'll make the week a lot less lonely :)
