Morning Hike

Dick and I went on a really terrific morning hike this morning. We walked from our home in the Castro, up and over the very steep 17th street, through the lush Mt Sutro Open Space Reserve, up to Tank Hill, down and up to Kite Hill, then back home.

We walked about 3.5 miles total, in about an hour and a half. It was a perfect day for a hike: low 60s, sunny, and perfectly clear.

It was a really fantastic walk, and made me so happy to do it with my hubby. I've been through all of those spaces many tines with my walking group, but it was Dick's first time through the Mt Sutro Reserve and on Tank Hill. I've been telling him about those amazing spots for years and it was really terrific to share them with him this morning.
