The Color Factory
Oh, my goodness!! I had so much fun going to The Color Factory with Tina, Alisa and Stella this evening. Thanks to Tina for securing the coveted tickets.
These are some of the highlight photos, taken from the professional cameras around the space. I have a whole bunch of photos to sort through, but thought I'd start with these.
More coming soon!

Play Date at Crissy Field!
Carol drove up to spend some time with me and Wallace, Mike and Kayak, and Greg and Buster. It's still in the mid-high 70s here, but feels much cooler (which is wonderful!). We even felt some sprinkles when we were on the beach.
Wallace got pretty dirty today so it was bath time for him when we got home. 😊

Playing in the Backyard!!
Hurray! It's finally cooling off. It's about 70 degrees and breezy at 7:30pm. MUCH better!!
Wallace and I just came in from playing in the backyard. Here are a few fun videos.
The first one is about 1/2 a session of his "zoomies" (when he gets very excited and runs around in circles in the backyard. Usually, every evening after dinner)
The next two are him catching the frisbee! He's getting consistently better at it!

Saturday's HOT 16-Mile Training Walk

Today's Route
In my eight years of participating in training walks, today was most challenging walk I've ever been on. We walked 16-18 miles (depending on the app/device measuring) in the heat! We started very early - 6:00am, but it was already 78 degrees out. By the time that we finished at 2:00 it was 102!
We tried to stay smart about the heat all day: we walked in the shade when we could and we took several breaks. We usually took our breaks inside grocery stores with air conditioning, and got a lot of cold snacks. We stayed hydrated by drinking a LOT of water, and often tried to get ice for our water bottles.
16 miles is a good challenge in San Francisco in any type of weather, but the extreme heat was the main factor today by far.

Up for today's 16-mile training walk
I woke up at 4:30 for today's 16-mile training walk. It is supposed to cool down from the record heats of yesterday, but it is already 78 degrees at 4:30am. We'll see how this goes. Don't worry, I'll be careful and smart. I'll drink plenty of water, and if it gets too hot, I'll just stop.
