🎶 "Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came...." 🎶
Before we moved to Seattle, I used to try to donate platelets at least once a month. Now that we're back in San Francisco, I started coming back last month, and it felt so great to be back. It was especially nice to see so many familiar faces, and was a pleasant surprise to be remembered.
Turns out, the Blood Center is my "Cheers", and I feel pretty good about that. 😊❤️

Leg Room!!!
I am Disneyland-bound for the weekend!! Yay!!
I'm flying Southwest for the first time in several years. So far, a great experience: very low airfare (just under $100 round trip, although I did pay an extra $30 or so for priority check-in),
open seating. 4th person to board. Seat 12a. Lots of leg room! 😊
Good way to start the trip!

Patty-Cake!
I caught Wallace and Olive playing a round of Patty-cake last week. It started off pretty well, until Olive got a little carried away. ;)

Wallace's Spa Process
Wallace's wonderful groomer, Vicky, sent me these photos last night. I love that she took photos of each step of the process of Wallace's spa day! ❤️

Preview to Plumpocalypse 2017!!
I love when our plum tree blossoms each February. It's so pretty!! I missed seeing it over the last three years.
Looks like we'll have a big crop of plums again coming in June!!

Almost done with "Smalls"
I had another great and productive painting session today. It's nearly done, but not quite!!
The biggest change was that I worked on the audience member in the front right. I didn't like the posture and placement of the figure I had before, so I found another photo of the same guy in a more engaged pose. I really like how he turned out and I think it completes the composition.
I worked a bit more on the sac player, mostly on his clothes, and did a bit more with the bass player.
I'm pretty sure I'll finish this painting during my next session. I'm really liking the mood/tone of it and how it has developed.

Wallace's Spa Day!
We went a little shorter this time. Wallace always looks so much smaller after getting his haircut after 10 weeks. I always miss his curls after he gets a blow dry, but they'll be back soon enough.

Windy day hike
We took Wallace on a fun hike up to Corona Heights today. It was a windy day, but it was nice to get in a good walk in between the rainy days.

Old Art
I'm at my parent's house, and spied this little gem that I made in 1979 (fourth grade). I love that my parents still keep it out on their kitchen counter. ❤️

...and for my next trick...
...Wallace will put a kitten's head in his mouth! 😮
Actually, they do this often when they wrestle. Don't worry- Olive is the one sticking her head in, and Wallace is very gentle.

Painting with a special guest
Look who came with me to my painting session today!! Wallace was such a good boy, and seemed to enjoy hanging out at Dean's studio.
I made good progress on my jazz painting. I worked on the left side of the painting, focusing on the piano and the piano player.

A sunny day to play at Fort Funston
It was an unusually sunny day in San Francisco, and Mike has a rare weekend at home. Perfect day to bring the pups to Fort Funston to play together. Wallace and Kayak play together so well now. They are good buddies!
