Sunday's 10-mile Training Walk
Sunday's 10-mile Training Walk
This morning's 10-mile training walk was a nice and relatively flat one, compared to yesterday's 14-mile hilly walk. It was great to have more people join us today and reconnect with some old friends!
One of the highlights for me was meeting Jim and Elena. Elena used to walk in the 3-Day with the Warming Hut Hotties, but stopped right before I started in 2010. Elena will be walking in the Immediate Impact Walk this year, and Jim walked this morning for company and support. Jim and Elena are from Milpitas, and it turns out that we have some mutual friends and many things in common. It was very fun to walk with them and learn more about each other.

Our route took us through the Presidio, across Golden Gate Park and into the Richmond.
Snack break at the halfway point
heading back in Golden Gate Park
We walked through the National Cemetery in the Presidio. It was a poignant view, especially on September 11th.
