Saturday's 12-mile training walk
Saturday's 12-mile route
I woke up bright and early for today's 12-mile training walk. We met at 7:00am. After a terrible night of insomnia where I only got two hours of sleep, I was a little concerned about how I would feel. Once I got up and moving, I was a little draggy at first, but was soon feeling better and more energized as we went along.
Monica brought Krispy Kreme donuts! Carol and I both needed a sugar fix, and split one
A view worth waking up early for
Our walk took us through the Presidio, and into Golden Gate Park. Along the way, we saw many beautiful sights.

After our half-way break at Andronicos, we continued into the Sunset neighborhood, and walked up man flights of stairs.
Linda had recently read about a NEW set of mosaic stairs on 16th Ave. We sought them out, and they didn't disappoint. So beautiful!

As we were walking along 16th Ave, we passed by a bright big PINK house. Had to take a photo of Holly in front of it. Holly loves pink. :)

We quickly found ourselves at the base of the beautiful mosaic stairs on Moraga, and continued to climb up.

Keep on climbing - we went UP more stairs to the base of the stairs leading up to Grand View Park.

The view at the top is always worth the effort!
We climbed down, down, down, and went down to Judah, which became Parnassus, onto Stanyan, Turk and Arguello. We made our way back into the Presidio onto Ecology Trail, and eventually back to Lincoln Blvd.
It was another really great 12-mile training walk!
