Our first Fourth of July in Bellevue was a great one! We were invited to Paula and Reeves's house for really lovely evening with them and the Creviers.
Paula has always been the Martha Stewart of any of my friends. She and Reeves made such a beautiful and delicious meal to share with all of us. We had skirt steak with grilled corn, roasted new potatoes and a heriloom tomato salad. The final treat was an amazing desert - marshmallow & chocolate stuffed bananas on the grill. Soooo yummy!
Dick and I tried to make it back to our place in downtown Bellevue early enough to see the fireworks show from our local park. Unfortunately, we were a few minutes late, and missed the show. We were pleasantly surprised to see plenty of other fireworks displays from all around the lake. Fireworks are not illegal here, so there were plenty of smaller shows and larger, city-based shows going on all around.
Thanks, Paula and Reeves, for a really fun evening!
