Wallace's Adoption Day Process

Here are a few more photos from when we adopted Wallace from the SF SPCA yesterday.

We hadn't been to the SF SPCA in at least three years, and they've remodeled and have had some new advancements since then. One of the biggest changes was that the dogs were in smaller condos (in smaller groups) than the larger rooms that they used to have years ago. They also used to have print-out sheets with details of each animal taped to the window of each room. Now, they have tablets showing details about each individual animal, as well as any other animal in the same room. Very fancy!!

When we went to Wallace's condo, we saw that he was still listed as a resident of the condo (spelled "Wallis"), but his status was "Adoption Pending". I had also noticed that they had taken down his webpage after we put him on hold Friday evening. As they were processing our paperwork, I noticed that Wallace's screen was taken down from the tablet on his condo.

We watched as the volunteer/employee who had helped us with all the paperwork, went into Wallace's condo, put his collar on him, and finally walked him down the hallway to us. :)

All the free goodies we got from adopting Wallace: Food, toys, an collapsable water dish, a GPS digital pet finder tag, and a Portable Home Camera that we can set up to watch Wallace when we're not home!
