Day 6 - random shots from the rest of the day

It was another fun-filled busy day! After we finished at the Duomo, we found a local pizza place for lunch that Cheng had recommended. It was sooo yummy!

We went to two museums back-to-back: The Accademia, which had some amazing unfinished sculptures by Michelangelo, and of course, his masterpiece, David.

We then went to the Duomo Museum which was fascinating. It held a large portion of the original sculptures and various pieces that were originally in the building, and some of them have been replaced by reproductions to help preserve the originals.

We came back to our hotel in the mid-afternoon for a break. Our feet are pretty tired from all this walking, so we treated ourselves to foot massages at the spa. Ahhhhhh!!!!! It was by far the best foot massage I've ever had. It's also the most pampered I've ever been at a spa. Although we only had the one short treatment, we were treated to trays of bottled water, hot tea and cookies! They also sent us both away with fun samples. :)

We were remarkably reinvigorated after our foot massages, so we decided to head out to one more museum: The Pitti Palace: Galeria Palatina. There were more beautiful sculptures and paintings there, but it was also noteworthy to see them in the amazing palace setting.

We had an amazing dinner at Cinghiale Bianco, then walked back to our hotel. The evening was clear and beautiful, plus there's a huge (full?) moon out tonight. We got some gorgeous photos from the bridge on our way back to our hotel.
