A Night at the Symphony

Dick and I went to the Symphony tonight! Dick used to be a regular ticket holder, but we haven't been in several years.

Tonight's performance was extra special, and the best reason to come out of Symphony-Hibernation: Dick's friend from grade school through high school was in town performing with the Cleveland Orchestra! Tom plays the Timpani for the Orchestra. We last saw Tom perform with the Cleveland Orchestra in Chapel Hill a few years ago, while we were out visiting Dick's family. It was such a treat to see him again.

The performance was wonderful. We both enjoyed it so much. We definitely need to make more of a habit of going to the Symphony in the future!

After the performance, we went out to drinks with Tom in Hayes Valley. It was so great to spend a couple of hours with him, and to watch Dick interact with his childhood friend.
