Our niece, Adrianne and her husband, Ricky, are visiting us from North Carolina!
They flew in Friday morning. We picked them up from the airport and hit the ground running! We first brought them to the EMP Museum, figuring there was so much there that they would like - Music, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Star Wars, Chuck Jones, Video Games, etc., It was a hit!
We went for a stroll around the Ballard neighborhood after, then had dinner at Ballard Annex, where we consumed four dozen oysters!
This morning, we went our for breakfast at our favorite diner: Village Square Cafe, then brought them to Snoqualmie Falls. It was a gorgeous day, and we hiked down towards the falls and river.
These first two photos are pretty special. Tomorrow if Father's Day, and Adrianne's Mom (Dick's Sister, Kathy) posted a photo of Adrianne and Richard (Dick and Kathy's Dad, Adrianne's Granddaddy). After Richard passed away last year, Dick took a few of his panama-style shirts that he was so fond of wearing to remember him by, and occasionally wear. When we saw the photo that Kathy had posted, we realized that Dick was wearing a nearly identical outfit to the one Richard had on in the photo - down to the hat and sunglasses.
We took this photo of Adrianne and Dick in the same pose as the original photo.
Adrianne and her Uncle Dick
Adrianne put the two photos side by side as a comparison.
The two photos side by side
Dick certainly is his Father's son - just taller. :)
Ricky doesn't like to take photos, and I'm not one to make anyone do anything that they don't want to, so no photos of Ricky, but he was there!

Pretty day at Snoqualmie Falls
After our hike, we built up our appetite to enjoy root beer and enormous hot dogs at XXX Root Beer in Issaquah!
