Jason is in town! We went in a long walk on a warm morning, trying to cover as many touristy places as we could manage before Noon! Jason used to live here, and still visits frequently, but he thought it would be fun to go through some areas/neighborhoods in SF that he hadn't seen in a long time.
We look the F Trolley Line from the Castro all the way to the other end of the line at Fisherman's Wharf. After a quick visit with the sea lions and a quick stroll through Pier 39, we walked along the Embarcadero, then through Levi's Plaza and walked up the Greenwich Steps to Coit Tower. We came down the Filbert Steps, and down to North Beach. We walked down Grant Ave, then stopped for a snack at Mario's Bohemian Cigar Store Cafe. (I used to go there on occasion when I was a student at SFAI, and Jason used to go when he worked in North Beach.)
After our snack, we walked through Chinatown, then into Union Square where we caught the MUNI Metro back home. All before Noon!!
It was roughly a 5 mile walk, and a gorgeous morning to see some parts of the City that we hardly go through.
