Two of Martin's favorite things:
Sushi and Banana Splits! The first I knew, the second I didn't.
We had a huge sushi meal at Koo, Martin's (and our) favorite sushi place in SF. We like to eat at the Sushi bar, and order directly off the Chef's Fresh Catch menu. Dick and Martin have been going there together for years. It was fabulous.
During dinner, Martin mentioned that he loved banana splits, so I offered to take him to "Ice Cream Bar" in Cole Valley - one of my favorite ice cream places!! It was delicious. I had my regular Mint Chip ice cream topped with their homemade marshmallow topping (which they singe with a small torch) So yummy! Martin and Dick split an banana-split. I teased them when they were deciding on which flavors of ice cream to use. You'd think they were on their first date. ;)
