The windows in our building get washed twice a year. This is our first time being here while they are washed.
The staff here let the tenants know that the windows would be washed last week and this week, and which sides of the buildings would be washed on each day. Today, the north side of the building is being done.
We're up high on the 28th floor. There are 30 floors with the regular apartments, and two floors of penthouses at the top of the building.
Since the window washers start at the top, our floor was done within the first couple of hours. Noe and I had noticed the ropes dropping down past our windows earlier this morning, and have been waiting to get photos of the window washers outside. (Noe got tired, and eventually went to bed. She missed all the excitement.)
I took some photos of the two guys cleaning two sections of windows, and also got a shot from our balcony. By my Mom's suggestion, I also went outside, down to the ground level, to get a perspective shot of just how high up these guys are. If you look at the last two photos, you can see the two guys on the upper right side of the building. Eek!!!
BTW: you may notice that it's raining today. Rain in Seattle. Go figure.
Hello, Mr. Window Washing Man, hanging 28th floors above the ground from a rope!
view from the balcony. that's really high!
you can see the two guys on the upper right of the building. Like I said: really high up!
