This afternoon's safari started off with a bang: elephants, hippo, zebra, rhino, and the grand finale: an entire lion pride eating a kill. So amazing!
I thought these hippo looked like they were preparing to form a State Street Review Dance Wedge. ;)

again, to show perspective of how close we are.
Yep - that close! That's our tracker, James, sitting in the front of our Range Rover
Beautiful Zebra
A bunch of Rhino (I'm sure there's a proper term for that)
Dick and the Rhinoceros (good band name, don't you think?)
Okay, here's where we tracked the large Lion Pride. Our guide, Lucian, suspected that one of the two male lions had made a kill earlier. Once the male lion returned to the Pride, the Lionesses and the younger cubs started walking towards where the kill was. They were hoping to get some leftovers. The two male lions followed, and the other male, which had not made the kill, took the kill away from the lionesses and younger lions, and ate it all himself. It was a very interesting thing to watch.

We had another nice surprise at the end of our safari. Our guides had arranged for a candlelight refreshments table and drinks be served in a quiet, tucked away part of the bush. We had a nice mulled wine and delicious nibbles
