The Toto Washlette

It was at this hotel, just over 14 years ago, that Dick discovered the Toto Washlette. I remember him coming home from his trip to Tokyo, describing the Washlette to me, hoping that someday, he'd be able to own one.

When we came to Tokyo seven years ago, I noticed a Washlette or two at a couple of department stores. That was when I saw the button with the musical notes on it, wondering what it did. Turns out it simulates a flushing noise to help "camouflage". ;)

We've since seen Toto Washlettes at the Aria hotel in Vegas.

In this trip, I even noticed one in a McDonalds bathroom in Shibuya!
