We've had a nice, leisurely morning in out hotel - slept in, breakfast, showered and packed, and a quick lunch. We'll be checking out soon, taking a cab to the Kyoto Station, then taking a train to Kansai. Our flight for SFO leaves at 6:20pm. Today is Sunday here. We'll be arriving at SFO at Noon, also on Sunday. (although, that may be an hour off, due to CA's observance of Daylight Savings Time.)
Ah, the International Date Line. How it can play with your head.
We've had such a wonderful trip to Japan over the last 10 days. It's been an amazing visit.
We really lucked out on the weather. Although we had cold temps in the high 30s and low 40s, it never rained. Yesterday got up into the low 70s here, so we were down to t-shirts and no jackets. Luckily, we packed well for it all. Today it is raining here in Kyoto, which is fine timing, since we weren't planning on getting out to see any sites today.
The entire trip was really fantastic, and so memorable. We had a great time, and great experiences.
