Italy: Day 11 - the Peggy Guggenheim Collection

Oh, what a treat this was. Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of Renaissance art (although I certainly appreciate it!) so it was do refreshing to see the Peggy Guggenheim Collection today. The Collection is housed in the the 18th-Century Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, where Peggy Guggenheim lived for more than 30 years.

The building and grounds are beautiful in their own right, but they are both filled with an amazing collection of Contemporary Art.

Such an amazing collection, and what a fascinating life she had!
