A day of decadant eating, shopping deals, and a little bit 'o color guard

Well, what a day it's been so far.

We woke up at 8:00 (there's nothing like jumping into a time zone!), and were out enjoying the sunshine in lovely Dayton, OH. We had an amazingly decadant breakfast at Bob Evans (which seem to be popping up on just about every block here) then made our way to cross the border of Kentucky.

The Gap Clearance Center did not let us down. After 2 1/2 hours, and multiple trips to the dressing rooms, I walked out with 2 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of slacks, and 7 tops. Total damage: $77.27 after tax. I LOVE this place!

We drove back to Dayton, and found a terrific tea shop that Tammy had found online. We had an amazing High Tea experience - egg salad, tuna, and cheese & onion sandwiches, 2 homemade pastries, and scones with homemade jam and cream. YUM! (and oh my gosh, am I full right now!) The Earl Grey Tea we had was also perfect!

We're taking a short breather for an hour or so, then we're off to see the WGI World Class Finals! We're purposefully going a bit late so we'll only watch top 5 of Scholastic World, and all of Independent World.

We're both really looking forward to seeing a few shows, and to seeing all of our friends tonight!

Oh, what a night!

Dayton will never know what hit it!
