The Epic Cuddle!

I just shared the most epic cuddle with Wallace. He must have stayed like this for 10-15 minutes. It was amazing.

Late night explorer

Last night was the second night that Olive slept with us and had free roam of the house. Every time I woke up, she was sleeping with us, until I woke up in the morning and heard her playing in the other room.

However, when I looked at the Wallace-Cam from last night, I discovered that she had walked around the house and visited Wallace around 4:00am!! The video is pretty cute- she went right up to Wallace's crate. It woke him up, but luckily, he didn't seem bothered. I thought he might bark (from being startled) or cry/whine (as he did the first the first several days when we first got Olive). He seemed fine, though. Just tired, and eventually went back to sleep.

Olive loves her new Daddy

Olive slept in our bedroom for the first time last night. It went very well! She had full reign of the house, but spent most of the night in bed with us. We're very happy with how quickly she has adjusted to our family and home.

Her Daddy is smitten with her, too. :)

Olive

Drum roll, please........

The kitten's name is "Olive".

It took a long time for us to whittle through our short list of about 10 names, but I think we got it right.

What helped finalize it? I mentioned the name to my sister, Tiffini Chow, and she loved it. She told me that one of her most favorite characters on any show that she ever worked on was Olive Ostrovsky from "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Her favorite Olive line:
"Did you know that if you switch the first two vowels in "Olive", it becomes "I love"?"

Pink Martini at SF Jazz!!

What an amazing performance by Pink Martini tonight at SF Jazz! A late show (9:00-11:15!) but so worth staying up late.

Coincidentally, Dean and Jose were also there and had seats directly in from of us!

Macy's SPCA Holiday Windows

Made it out during the break in the rain today to visit Blane while he volunteers at the Macy's SPCA windows. So many cute puppies and kittens (I managed to *not* bring another home with me). The photos of the kittens and puppies are from when I went Wednesday. It was quieter that day and my photos turned out better than today.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had such a nice Thanksgiving afternoon/evening at my parent's new home in Brentwood today. We had a nice size family meal of 13 - my parents, my Sis and Graham, Dick and me, my Auntie Lani, Uncle Rob, and cousins Kenneth and his wife Angela, cousin Cheri, and both of my Grandmas! Wallace also joined us for his first Chow Family Holiday! My parents (and their kitty, Nikolas) also surprised Wallace with a stuffed Turkey toy! :)

The food was amazing! Angela made lumpia (yum!) and brought shrimp, Mom made the turkey, and mashed potatoes, my Auntie made the mixed veggies, Dick and I made the stuffing and sweet potatoes and my sister made butternut squash soup and brought THREE (count 'em) desserts: pumpkin pie, banana cream pie and peach cobbler. SO yummy!!

I'm glad that I remembered to take photos today. There are some nice ones in here.

Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks to Mom and Dad for hosting. It was a really lovely day spent with family.

Wallace's Human Friends at the Dog Park

Wallace was so happy to see some of his favorite humans at the dog park today. There aren't many people that Wallace would be this comfortable having them carry him, but he loves these three.

More Progress!!

After more great progress of Wallace meeting the kitten, we have successfully advanced to: our new little family can now co-habitate on a sofa together without needing to pay attention to each other.
