Twinsies!!

We landed in San Francisco then went to Pete and Richard's for a quick visit this evening. It turns out that Dick and Pete were wearing nearly identified sweaters (which is difficult to see in this photo). Very funny!!

Amazing way to start a trip!!

Oh, San Francisco, how I love you!! Where else can I walk off the plane, turn the corner and see my friend Tina (and her Hubby) sipping martinis, waiting for their flight, which just happens to be the next flight for the plane I just got off!!!  (Did you get all of that?) What a perfect way to start our trip!!

Birthday Lunch with Gina!!

Thank you to my dear friend, Gina, for taking me out to an amazing Birthday lunch today!! We were true "Ladies Who Lunch" and went to Neiman Marcus!!

I intended to take photos of each course, but forgot after the first!!

They started us off with complimentary popovers and an amuse bouche.

We each ordered a cup of their crab chowder, then we split a grilled Brie cheese and apple sandwich. All do yummy!!

To top it all off, we split a carrot cake for dessert. We both love their carrot cake, so it was a must!

Gina was extra thoughtful and have me a new glassybaby for my Birthday!! It's one of their new colors called Hyacinth. Sooo pretty!!

Thank you, Gina!! I loved spending my Birthday with you!!! xo

One last Lanai sunrise before we fly back home.

Last night in Lanai

It's out last evening here in Lanai.

One more meal at the amazing Nobu restaurant, where we've had amazing meals 5 of the last 6 nights! Four of those five nights were at this table - the best in the house!! Last night, we fined inside the restaurant, as the executive chef prepared a private teppenyaki meal for us. It has all been amazing.

Resort Slugs

This is pretty much what we do when we vacation in Hawaii. :)

Sunrise over Maui

We woke up early for an early morning hike to watch the sunrise over Maui. We hiked up Pu'upehe Trail, about a mile from our resort, to watch the sunrise around 6:00am.

It was gorgeous and absolutely worth waking up early for.

Another Day in Paradise

Another perfect day here in Lanai. We try to stay on West Coast time when we come to Hawaii so we can wake up early and work out before it gets too hot. This morning, we hit the gym for an hour, then treated ourselves to the amazing breakfast buffet here.

We were resort slugs for the rest of the day: we laid by the pool, watched an enormous pod if dolphins play in the ocean (for hours!) and swam a bit.

That's really all we did before dinner. That may be our daily schedule for the next several days. ;)

Aloha from Lanai!!!

Aloha from gorgeous Lanai!!!

It is absolutely gorgeous here and we are having a relaxing and wonderful time already.

On our way to Lanai!!

Aloha from the Honolulu Airport!! We're on our way to spend 6 days/nights in Lanai! We've never been to Lanai, and we're very excited.

We flew from Seattle this morning and have a three hour layover in Honolulu before catching our flight on a smaller plane to Lanai. Lucky for us, our hotel has a VIP Lounge here at the Honolulu Airport, and we're the only ones here!! It's super nice: complimentary WiFi, fresh snacks and drinks. So nice!!
